Recycle all your doom gloom bad news to art. Tear up newspapers, shred all your old office papers, and unchangeable realities of life into paintings and sculpture. A week of saturation of skills and production of relief paintings, sculptures and bowls using paper mache, recycled materials, paint and textures. The focus will be on traditional paper mache layering, the making of pulp and using paper as the basic building block of form. Left - hand drawing, design principles, complementary colours, hot-cold colours and colour tonal theory - paint application and artists tricks learnt over a life time. Skills which can be transferable to many areas of art making, including sculpture, painting, home ware, masks, puppets, parades, functional objects, theatre, children's art, house interior decorations. Finished products for each participant will be a 1m x 1m colourful, glossy relief painting, a paper mache or paper pulp sculpture and bowl. She has painted 33 murals around Australia - public art, community art, commissions, and Ceramic tiles, indoors and out.
