If you want to quickly note down, in a delightful and skilful way, your impressions, sceneries both locally and overseas, than this is the course for you.  You will be learning the easiest way to put your pen to paper and add all these extra touches such as watercolour, colour pencils, chalk, charcoal, pastel and learn various techniques to take your work to a higher and more admired level. The foundation of all this is good drawing skills. We are going to practice various drawing techniques, learning to see and interpret things around us both internally as well as externally. We will be going out one day to examine what it is like to work ‘en plein air’ This will be a great experience in itself. Cees is a highly experienced and hands on tutor, who will make the best efforts to get the max out of you.  You will be receiving personal attention and coaching to help you in achieving the level of Artist you want to be. Therefore we will be doing various different topics such as  land and city scapes,  people and water scenes/ still life, taking a variety of approaches. Everybody, if you are starting out or are already more advanced, is welcome to join. Loads of excitement and fun - Let’s do it. ceessliedrecht@smartchat.net.au        www.ceesart.com.au

Cees Sliedrecht is a qualified teacher who came to Australia in the late 1970’s. His initial art studies were taken at Art Academies in Rotterdam and The Hague and later on he continued his art development in both Melbourne and Sydney, eventually settling in Brisbane. Although he has worked in both oils and acrylics, his preferred medium is Watercolour in association with pen, pencil, pastel and charcoal. His paintings entertain a wide variety of topics such as: sceneries, rivers, buildings, forests, people, still life and objects. He has held numerous successful mixed and solo exhibitions, collecting numerous prizes for his works. Cees paints in a very individual style, semi abstract but still with recognisable shapes and delightful line work. He has his own Fine Arts School called AQUArtists, in 2006, in Brisbane. He is President of the Half Dozen group of Artists (175 members) and was Passed President of the Watercolour Society of Queensland. Cees is also very active in holding art workshops in Queensland and New South Wales, fulfils judging roles at various art shows  (including those connected with the Brisbane Festival) and teaches drawing and painting at TAFE and the Brisbane Arts Academy.
