FRIDAY APRIL 9 - The Criterion Theatre, Pound Street, Grafton – 7.00pm
THE MIKADO – But it’s not the Mikado you know!!!
This production features the ladies of The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Operatic Society’s Production of the Mikado. The ladies attempt to put on their own unique version of The Mikado - which is not easy seeing that they’ve never attempted anything like this before and the music adds a further complication.  However they’ll struggle on regardless, despite hilarious mishaps along the way.  Mrs Reece’s version is bounded by the usual constraints on casting and costume but she is ably assisted by the Rev. Reg.  Newcomers to the Farndale ladies will thoroughly enjoy this fun-filled romp, their most ambitious project to date. So sit back and enjoy the Farndale ladies (and in this case men) blissfully believing the audiences will not notice and it will be right on the night. But if you hear the hum of a top it will be Gilbert and Sullivan spinning in their graves!  A light supper will be served during the interval however patrons are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Tickets: $25.00. Tickets are limited; these must be pre-booked and paid for by March 24, 2010.

SATURDAY APRIL 10 - Grafton Community and Function Centre from 5.00pm
Time to view and enjoy the visual arts exhibition:  Artsfest trusts that all students will participate by displaying a maximum of three items each. These items can be finished or works in progress. At this function you will be able to enjoy hors-d’oeuvres and a glass or two of bubbles or punch.

Proud supporters of Grafton Artsfest who are delighted to welcome all Artsfest participants to the Clarence Valley.
