COASTAL: PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONS IN MIXED MEDIA At Yamba 2011

Yamba is an environment that combines great natural beauty with the colour and activity of a coastal holiday town.

We’ll work in the field, using various drawing techniques to gather necessary visual reference to use as the basis of painting in the studio. The emphasis will be on encouraging a personal visual language and individual response to the location, through the diversity of mixed media.

This workshop is not designed to be a group exercise but far more importantly it will be a personalised approach to each artist who enrols to extend their creative imagination which in turn will push you often outside your comfort zone. Please feel free to bring a body of your own artwork for appraisal.

Please direct any questions you have to Artsfest, they will be forwarded to me you will receive a reply as soon as possible.

Open to Advanced students, 18 years and over.

Transport will be arranged for outdoor painting, for students without their own cars.
